That comment got me heated. First the poster says they were being humorous, but why joke about something as serious as that article? And then when you react to it, they turn around and tell you to take their politics seriously when they make a mockery of your own? I immigrated to Canada and the stereotypes of Canada being “the nice one” gave me a false perspective. It’s not as easy or happy or safe here as people make it, and joking about actual issues is offensive, you were right to get mad.
